About Specthrive
Care coordination shouldn't feel this hard
We built Specthrive because we've lived the problem. Families navigating neurodivergent care (ADHD, autism, learning disabilities) coordinate across dozens of disconnected systems. Schools, therapists, insurance, government programs. Each operates independently. The result is overwhelming complexity, missed opportunities, and delayed progress.
Families spend more time navigating systems than improving outcomes. We're changing that.
Our mission
Replace the chaos with clarity.
Specthrive is the command center for families and individuals navigating complex care. One intelligent system that organizes goals, tracks progress, surfaces resources, and coordinates the people involved.
We don't believe in adding more tools to your life. We believe in replacing the chaos with clarity, so you can focus on what actually matters.
The problem
Why neurodivergent care
High pain, high frequency
Caregivers encounter coordination problems daily, not monthly, not quarterly. IEP meetings, therapy schedules, medication tracking, insurance appeals, transition planning. The problem is constant.
Multi-stakeholder by nature
A single person's team often includes parents, co-parents, grandparents, therapists, teachers, school counselors, advocates, and medical providers. Coordination is the core problem.
Multi-year journeys
Neurodivergent care spans decades, from early intervention through school years, adolescence, transition to adulthood, and independent living. The journey continues.
Underserved by everyone
Patient portals are provider-driven. Family organizers are logistical. Single-purpose apps are siloed. Nobody is building the family-centered coordination layer.
Principles
What we believe
Outcomes over features
Every feature must connect to something a family can feel. If the value is abstract, we reconsider the priority.
Privacy is non-negotiable
Your data is encrypted, never sold, and never shared. We build trust through action, not marketing claims.
Accessibility is the product
A care coordination platform that isn't itself accessible would be a contradiction. We design for everyone.
Simplicity is a feature
Overwhelmed people don't need more complexity. Every screen, every interaction should reduce cognitive load.
The team
Founders
Specthrive is built by two people: a clinician who sets the safety bar, and an engineer who builds to it.
Nancy Nyabuti, MA, LPCC
Co-Founder & Clinical Director
Nancy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 11+ years of experience across community mental health, residential care, school-based programs, mobile crisis response, and outpatient practice. She practices CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, motivational interviewing, and family therapy with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, including neurodivergent (ADHD and autism) and immigrant or multicultural populations. Her approach is neurodiversity-affirming: focused on understanding patterns, not on fixing them.
Therapy should be a place where you feel understood, but also a place where you gain tools, insight, and new ways of approaching your life and relationships.
On Specthrive, Nancy authors or reviews every Guide, defines the boundaries Navi operates within, and sets the AI safety bar. We don't approximate clinical judgment with training data or general-purpose models. We have it on the founding team.
Davis Nyabuti
Co-Founder & Engineer
Davis brings ~15 years of distributed-systems and AI engineering experience. As Principal Engineer at Target from 2017 to 2024, he designed real-time data infrastructure handling more than one million events per second and led cross-functional privacy-compliance work across CCPA and Washington's My Health My Data.
The privacy-first engineering posture in Specthrive comes directly from that work: code-enforced consent gates at every AI call site, CI drift guards on AI and PHI patterns, schema-level guardian attestation, and structured audit logging on every consent decision.
